Dear friends,

This letter comes with our love and greetings for Christmas 2007. Here is some news of our life in Burundi .

The opening of Mogobwe Primary School , built with funding support from Food for the Hungry (UK)[1] was a joyful occasion.

The school is situated in the Eastern province of Ruyigi , near to the Tanzania border.

Pray for returning refugees, improved security and political stability in the country

Anne has been helping Pastor Julien with the translation of letters for sponsors in the Child Development Programme (CDP). Anne is considering how to help the parents improve the health and nutrition of their children

Thank God for the young people and children of Burundi

Archdeacon Sezie’s daughter and children

Here is Rosine and her beautiful children. Her father and mother, Archdeacon Sezie and Rosa, were friend of ours when we lived at Buye in the 1970s. Sezie has died and Rosa lives with her daughter. Sezie and Rosa’s three sons have all died. Two were killed in political troubles of1973 and 1993, the third died of illness when he was at school.

Pray for the many Burundi who have experienced great loss and suffering

Steve has been working with FH colleagues and community leaders on various projects to improve food security and incomes.

This photo shows a fertile valley near Rubura in Kayanza Province . Funding is being requested to help the community with terracing and micro-irrigation on the terraces nearest to the valley floor.

Thank God for good rains in most of the country. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance in getting the necessary funding for the work.
