Subject: Containers Arrived but not yet Released in Burundi

Dear Warriors,

Hope this finds you well.

Having asked for prayer in the last few missives regarding the three containers, well, they are now here, and the importation problems are underway! We've had big struggles over ownership of the containers since yesterday, and are having now to unload everything (right now, this Wednesday pm) in the port (that's a lot of stuff), listing every single item, having them cross-checked and stored, and then hopefully customs will clear them ALL without problems - BUT that is a huge ask bearing in mind there are five brand new vehicles in the mix  So, please, concentrated prayers for nothing to get stolen, all things to get released, speedy access and favour with all relevant authorities, without tricky situations. If I can report back favourably next time, that will be a massive spiritual victory.

On Monday we welcome two international experts in setting up 5-star hotels. It's a total God-incidence, I believe, in how we got them to come, as they have offered their services free of charge (just paying their flights and accomodation). They will be helping us with setting up systems for the conference centre. Can you pray that we get all done that needs doing please, that their skills will be maximized, and that Goretti (who will run the centre) and Meg (fresh out from the USA, now GLO Programs Coordinator and fully assisting Goretti) will be able to glean and implement as much as possible.

I've been in bed sick for the last couple of days, am hopefully on the mend now. Tomorrow is Grace's first birthday, we're celebrating it in the afternoon with some other little 'uns. Do pray that it may be a real laugh!

On Friday I am heading up with Seth to Gitega. Seth and I will be spending a lot of time over the next 7 months together. If any of you know Rob Bell's Nooma DVDs, we are doing something similar, producing one short film per chapter of my book. I really hope and believe these quality films (Seth is extremely gifted) will impact into the millions of lives, which is very exciting. So we are filming one piece on Mount Songa. Can I ask you in general to hold this project up to God, because I know the enemy will want to knock it down. We've just invested c$10,000 in equipment, and if anything goes wrong out here, it has to go back to the USA to get fixed. So may all his equipment stay safe, in good working order, may we continue to get on very well, may we be truly inspired in writing scripts, filming, editing etc. And then Sat and Sun we as Scripture Union are doing a citywide schools mobilization, so may that be fruitful.

I'm starting a jogging evangelistic outreach. It's something I felt the Lord talk to me about earlier on this year. Formal launch is not this but next Sunday. We'll go at 630am to the beach where several thousand people congregate to then go off running. We'll do a sketch and then quick preach and then run for a bit and then repeat our earlier sketch and preach. I really believe we'll rope in hundreds of folks. May God prepare the hearts. We are currently forming the key team leaders, may we get the right people from the start. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks again for standing with us.
