When will FNL PALIPEHUTU cease fighting!

Tuesday on 13th September, Makamba  Diocesan team was obliged to turn back to Bujumbura while coming from a Bible Society meeting held in Bujumbura . As the team was reaching Kabezi area, the FNL Palipehutu combattants were fighting. This came as the follow up of what the speaker of FNL had  declared in the morning of the same day that FNL will continue fighting. Come on, stop fighting !

Confirmation journeys continue

On the 2nd September 05, the Bishop of Makamba Diocese confirmed 396 Christians in Gatwe Archdeaconry. Most of those confirmants were repatriates. We praise God for that because the Church is still alive.  

 

International Peace Day

The Diocese of Makamba joined ONUB on 21st September to celebrate International Peace Day. Remember that the motto of the Diocese of Makamba is " Christ our peace. "

 

Story

"A bishop is not a god as some people may think," said  the Rt Rev Martin Blaise Nyaboho, while visiting Gakwende sub-parish in Gahosha Parish on 25th September. Christians of other Churches around  Gakwende didn't believe that the Bishop could  visit such a sub-Parish. On their astonishment the Bishop has made a two kilometers walk to reach the Church.

Congratulations to Mrs Claire Hategekimana

After getting remarried to Mr  Desire Niyongabo last year, Claire the HIV/AIDS coordinator has given birth to a girl on 23rd September. This came as another blessing after loosing her first husband in 1996.

Travel

From 19th up to 24th September Bishop Martin Blaise Nyaboho traveled to Nairobi where he attended a FECCLAHA meeting. This meeting has focused on the launch of an Ecumenical forum of the Great Lakes Region.

 

Help her to find solution

Mrs Nduwimana Adelaïde, a farmer ,came to the Mother's Union office in the service of Micro-credit. She was given a loan of  two hundred ten thousand burundi francs (210.000) refundable with an interest of twenty five thousand two hundred ( 25.200) in one year period. On her way back   home, she found herself in an ambush. She was beaten  by a group of bandits and all her money was stolen. Now she is wondering  how she will pay the money she didn't use. Help her to find solution.

 

Visit

Mrs Claudette Kigeme ,the provincial MU Worker, has visited the Diocese of Makamba in preparation of the visit of some MSH members to Makamba.
