20 friends met together on 29th. May for a bring and share lunch
to say farewell to Steve and Anne Stordy at their new home in
Tidebrook. Steve and Anne are former CMS mission partners in
Burundi in the Seventies where Steve worked as an
agriculturalist and Anne as a nurse at Buye. They left on 26th.
June for a period of familiarisation with "Food for the
Hungry" in Kigali, Rwanda, before moving more permanently
to northern Burundi. There Steve hopes to be involved with
developing Biblical holistic agriculture among some of the
poorest communities in Burundi and Rwanda. Anne will be holding
herself in readiness to help in health education wherever the
Lord gives an opportunity. Steve and Anne already know the local
language Kirundi. They leave behind three grown up children in
London. Food for the Hungry is based in Southampton and further
information can be accessed through www.uk.fhi.net.
